The Mountain Goat’s Body color is white at all seasons. Their Coat appears long and shaggy except on face and lower legs. Long white hair on chin forms a distinctive beard. High shoulders set behind short, black, conical horns in both sexes are distinctive.
Mountain goats are restricted to the mountain and foothill regions of Western Alberta and Eastern and Northern BC although an occasional stray moves considerable distances from this region.
Mating takes place in November and December. Usually one kid is born in Many or June. On better rages, two and even three kids are produced by adult nannies.
Food consists primarily of alpine shrubs, grasses and forbs.
White body and long shaggy hair except on face and feet are distinctive features.
